Rich has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry as a C level executive. His experience includes being President and CEO of Merion Wealth Partners, an advisor partnership of independent RIA’s. During his tenure with Merion, he completed the acquisition of three RIA firms and oversaw the FINRA application and opening of Merion’s broker dealer and the addition of 25 registered representatives.
Prior to that he was the Co-President of Portfolio Management Consultants (PMC). PMC is the investment consulting and management division of Envestnet Asset Management an organization with over $650 billion in assets under administration. Rich spent the majority of his career as President of Rittenhouse Financial Services, Inc., prior to its acquisition by Nuveen Investments. Subsequently, he became President of the Separate Accounts division for Nuveen Investments, which included Nuveen Asset Management and Rittenhouse Asset Management. Rich led the Nuveen/Rittenhouse unit which had in excess of $30 billion under management at the time. He was a founding Governor of the Money Management Institute in Washington, D.C., and has been a Director on several boards, including Gain Capital and the Philadelphia Depository Trust Company, a subsidiary of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange.
Over the years Rich has been frequently quoted in the press including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and CNN Money in additional to appearances on television including The Fox Business Network and CNBC. His career also includes military service as an officer and paratrooper with the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division and the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. He has his FINRA series 7, 24, 63 and 65 securities licenses. He is also an FAA certified instrument rated private pilot. He received his B.S. in Business Administration with special attainments in commerce from Washington & Lee University. Rich is married with two teenage children and resides in Haverford, PA.
